About the Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Engineering Project Manager to join our Central and Upper South Island Projects team. The role involves leading a variety of complex engineering projects that significantly improve the sustainability, safety, quality, and reliability of assets within our operations. Responsibilities Manage a variety of complex, high‑value projects through all stages of delivery—from conception, scoping, and concept design to detailed design, contracting, implementation, commissioning and handover, including post‑completion support. Mentor and guide Engineering Project Managers within the team. Coordinate with senior leaders, stakeholders and collaborators to deliver impactful results aligned with Fonterra’s long‑term goals. Lead large, complex projects and deliver strategic initiatives. Oversee risk management, cost control and schedule management. Qualifications A degree in Dairy Process, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Extensive project management experience delivering industrial projects with budgets exceeding $1M per project. Proven ability to resource, lead and manage several projects simultaneously. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for scoping and costing projects. Experience leading consultants and contractors through design, installation, commissioning and handover activities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members. Strategic thinking and the ability to drive innovation and change across multiple sites. Experience working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver high‑impact results.
