Field Operator – Animal Pest (Hamilton, NewZealand) This full‑time on‑site position offers great opportunities for career growth with EcoFX, a division of RentokilInitial. EcoFX is the largest nationwide rural pest‑control company in NewZealand, operating in Hamilton, Otorohanga, NorthWaikato and Taumarunui. We specialise in ground and aerial pest control, targeting possums, rats, mice and mustelids. The role : Work outdoors with a small team, protecting the native environment while setting up and maintaining bait stations on farmland, in forests and across high‑country terrain. Responsibilities Set up and maintain bait stations on farmland, in forests and high‑country terrain. Work with a small team to protect native species and reduce pest populations. Location & Working Hours Based in Hamilton, with projects in King Country, Otorohanga and other areas; occasional travel elsewhere. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, away from home during the week. Reliable, positive, and eager to learn. Strong communicator with a safety‑first mindset. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Full or Restricted NZ driver’s licence. Eligible to work full‑time in NewZealand and pass a criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory) Previous experience or qualifications in animal pest control or biosecurity work. First Aid Certificate. ATV, LUV or 4WD qualifications. GrowSafe or Controlled Substance Licence. NZ Firearms Licence. Chainsaw use. NZQA unit standards or related training. Successful candidates will complete a pre‑employment assessment, including medical, reference and criminal background checks, meeting RentokilInitial’s satisfactory criteria.
