Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Shift Supervisor (Support) to join our Swim Zone leadership team in a full-time, year-round position. This role offers a great mix of hands-on leadership, operational support, and development opportunities across our facilities. About the Role This is a dual-focus role, with a strong seasonal emphasis: Summer (Mid-October – Mid-March) – Swim Zone Morrinsville During the busy summer period, you will be primarily based at Swim Zone Morrinsville, where you will: Provide day-to-day shift leadership and support to lifeguards Act as the key on-shift support person, ensuring safe and efficient operations Step up to supervise in the absence of senior staff Help manage high visitor numbers and maintain strong health & safety standards Support staff performance, training, and daily task completion Ensure a positive, professional customer experience in a high-demand environment This is where you’ll play a critical role in keeping the facility running smoothly during peak season. Winter (Mid-March – Mid-October) – Swim Zone & Events Support Outside of the summer season, you will work across: Swim Zone Te Aroha and Matamata, providing operational and shift support The Events & Venues team, assisting with council and community events as required In this part of the role, you will: Assist with training, administration, and operational consistency Support event delivery, including setup, pack-down, and venue operations Work collaboratively across teams to maintain high service and safety standards Why This Role Matters This role is essential to: Supporting staff to deliver safe, high-quality aquatic services Ensuring strong leadership presence on shift, especially during peak periods What We’re Looking For You’ll bring: A current PLPC and First Aid qualification are preferred; however, training can be supported for the right candidate.
