Job Description

Bid Writer Fletcher Building’s Higgins and Fletcher Major Projects New Business Team is looking for a highly skilled Bid Writer to join our team in Penrose. The role involves turning technical and commercial information into clear, well‑structured, and compelling submissions that our clients will want to read. Responsibilities Conduct pre‑positioning research and analysis to identify value propositions and competitive advantage. Collaborate with subject matter experts and bid teams to develop storyboards and shape win themes. Craft strategic storytelling that captures the attention of evaluators while meeting requirements. Work with Bid, Submission and Creative managers to push the boundaries of best practice and continuously improve. Review and edit submissions with meticulous attention to detail to meet our standards. Support timelines, document control, and submission coordination. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, engineering, construction or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in bid writing, structured business writing, or business analysis, ideally within professional services, engineering or construction. Confidence working with complex technical information and making it easy to understand. Excellent stakeholder skills and the ability to draw pertinent information from a range of people.
