# Registered Nurse - Research Wound Care at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern, Otago## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**Registered Nurse – Research Wound Care Nurse****Salary Band $81,000 - $106,000 + KiwiSaver*** **Dunedin Hospital*** **1 FTE / 80 hours per fortnight - May consider job share*** **Fixed term secondment cover until 16/11/2026**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.**About the role**Working primarily Monday to Friday we are seeking a registered nurse to step into the secondment position to support the Fisher and Paykel Research on wound care.This role facilitates wound care research, ensuring compliance with legislative, ethical, and clinical trial standards both in the community and hospital setting.This role supports wound care research projects as part of a wider team.Some of the key tasks will include:* Liaising with patients, staff and other relevant parties as the communication link between research participants, investigators, clinical staff, and external partners.* Assessing patient criteria for inclusion/ exclusion in research, which may involve an on-call component via phone- take out via phone as sometimes need visit* Carrying out complex wound care in community and clinic setting* Providing education and support to staff regarding the specifics of on-going projects* Maintaining trial data requirements including coordinating patient tests and appointments using specific equipment* Research data processing, reporting adverse events in patient management system**About us**Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
