Job Description

As Head of Delivery, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of GDT's technology initiatives — making sure work is prioritised, sequenced, governed, and delivered with discipline and consistency. This role blends hands- on operational leadership with strategic input. You'll partner closely with the CTO, Head of Engineering, and business and technology leaders to align plans, priorities, and execution with our organisational goals. You'll lead our Business Analysis practice, coordinate work across internal teams and external vendors, and strengthen Agile ways of working to improve execution quality, stakeholder confidence, and on- time outcomes. This is a system leadership role focused on improving delivery performance across the technology portfolio. You will balance priorities, capacity, dependencies, and delivery risks across multiple concurrent initiatives while building the governance, delivery capability, and ways of working needed for sustained execution excellence. Key Accountabilities System Delivery Performance: Deliver technology initiatives across the portfolio to agreed quality, timing, and risk standards. Delivery Governance & Execution Discipline: Establish and maintain delivery governance, reporting, and execution practices that provide transparency, predictability, and control across all delivery streams. Prioritisation & Work Sequencing: Deliver a clear, agreed prioritisation and sequencing of work across the technology system, ensuring the highest-value initiatives progress at the right time. Capacity & Delivery Planning: Deliver accurate, transparent capacity plans, forecasts, and delivery commitments across teams and vendors. Stakeholder Alignment & Communication: Give stakeholders clear visibility of delivery progress, risks, and trade- offs, enabling timely and informed decision-making. Delivery Integration Across Teams & Vendors: Ensure coordinated delivery across internal teams and aligned, accountable, well- managed vendor performance. Delivery Capability & Ways of Working: Build and embed effective delivery practices — including Agile ways of working and governance processes — that measurably improve execution quality and consistency. Risk & Issue Management: Identify delivery risks, issues, and dependencies early, manage them actively, and escalate appropriately to minimise impact on outcomes. Experience & Capabilities We're looking for someone who can operate at a system level — managing complexity across multiple delivery streams and stakeholders, balancing short- term execution with longer- term capability building, and exercising sound judgement amid competing priorities. 7+ years' experience leading technology or software delivery in complex environments Strong track record managing multi-stream delivery portfolios across teams and vendors Experience establishing delivery governance, reporting, forecasting, and risk management practices Strong capability in delivery planning, estimation, and capacity management Experience embedding Agile delivery practices and improving team ways of working Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at senior levels Preferred Qualifications Background in software engineering or technical delivery environments Experience working in product/platform organisations Experience working with global teams and delivery partners GDT is not able to provide visa sponsorship at this time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
