Our goal is to deliver responsive, compassionate, and person‑centred care to individuals living with life‑limiting illnesses, often in their homes. We also have a welcoming inpatient unit in Te Puna for those who need extra support. We’re a charity powered by passion, courage, teamwork, and community spirit. Key Responsibilities Leading and developing Volunteer Coordinators to build a high‑performing team Planning and managing volunteer workforce supply to meet operational demand Partnering with leaders across the organisation to support volunteer engagement and experience Driving continuous improvement using data, insights, and feedback Building community connections to attract and grow the volunteer workforce Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements Skills and Experience Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, business, health, community services or similar (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in people leadership, including coaching and developing teams Experience delivering services aligned to organisational strategy and operational needs Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence across all levels Experience managing workforce or volunteer lifecycle processes (recruitment, onboarding, retention) A collaborative, solutions‑focused approach with excellent communication skills Ideally, you’ll also have experience in volunteer services, not‑for‑profit, or health environments, and bring an understanding of best‑practice volunteer management. Most importantly, you’ll have a genuine passion for supporting people in your community.
