Fixed-Term Teacher, New Entrant Class

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 20/08/2026, End Date: 15/12/2026 (Parental Leave) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher. English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our team and vibrant learning community in a fixed-term, full-time, parental leave position teaching a New Entrant (Year 0) cohort entry class. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who understands the importance of building strong foundations for our youngest learners. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative staff committed to providing high-quality learning experiences and achieving the best possible outcomes for our tamariki. We are looking for a teacher who: has a passion for working with New Entrant learners builds positive and caring relationships with children, whānau, and colleagues demonstrates effective classroom practice and strong learner-focused pedagogy has experience in Better Start Literacy would be an advantage values collaboration and contributes positively to a team culture has a growth mindset and is committed to continual learning and professional improvement brings energy, creativity, and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
