About the Role Are you looking to contribute to the community in a meaningful way? Join our dedicated and hard‑working Environmental Services Department and help maintain our facilities, while providing a suitable environment for our tūroro (patients) and whānau (families). You will be part of a small, fast‑paced team that plays an essential part in maintaining Ashburton Hospital facilities. The team provides exceptional cleaning services 365 days a year, across both day and night shifts. Starting rate $28.63 per hour, based on the Etū Service and Food Workers collective agreement. Responsibilities Completing all cleaning tasks to a high standard Ensuring daily schedules and task lists are completed within the set time frame Working alongside other cleaners to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner Matching service requirements to clinical needs Maintaining equipment and operating it according to specifications Utilising the correct chemicals and dilutions About You We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible candidate who can bring their passion for cleaning to the Ashburton facility. This role will suit a candidate who is looking to help make the hospital a hygienic and safe space for our patients and whanau. There will also be the possibility to pick up extra hours. Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.
