The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to provide technical leadership across manufacturing operations, supporting operational excellence, process optimisation, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands‑on senior engineering role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, driving improvements, and working cross‑functionally between product development and commercial manufacturing. It is a full‑time permanent position working 40 hours per week from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, based onsite in Auckland. Responsibilities Providing senior engineering support across manufacturing and operations. Leading troubleshooting and root cause investigations for process and equipment issues. Supporting manufacturing performance, process optimisation, and operational efficiency improvements. Supporting validation, change control, risk management, and engineering documentation activities. Coordinating operational improvement and capital engineering projects. Analysing production data, workflows, and operational trends to identify improvement opportunities. Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering best practices. About you You will bring strong manufacturing engineering experience and enjoy operating in a fast‑paced production environment where collaboration and problem‑solving are key. A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, process engineering, or similar operational roles. Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food manufacturing, or other highly controlled production environments is highly advantageous. Experience working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or process‑related manufacturing systems. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability within manufacturing environments. A continuous improvement mindset with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies beneficial. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical teams. A proactive, analytical, and solutions‑focused approach. Why apply?
