Job Description
Overview Activities Assistant – Full‑time, 32 hours per week, AM shifts Monday to Friday. Application closes 29 July 2026. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and deliver activities, outings, events, and community group participation that meet residents’ physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive, and emotional needs. Work with a team to provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for residents. Build lasting relationships with residents and their whānau – family. Support and adapt to the wider team to foster a collaborative work culture. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged‑care environment. Good communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills. Full NZ driver’s licence and confidence driving a van. Genuine love for helping people with excellent customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude. Passion for continuous improvement and a solid understanding of health and safety procedures.
