Job Description

Overview NHS Grampian invites applications for the Senior Clinical Fellow (ST8) in Orthopaedic Trauma. This post is available from 5 August 2026 for 12 months until 3 August 2027. The post is based at the Trauma Unit, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, with close ties to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital where paediatric orthopaedic trauma is managed. The successful candidate will join the senior ST on-call trauma rota. This post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training. Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required (licence to practise must be in place prior to starting in post). Responsibilities Be based at the Trauma Unit, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and participate in the senior ST on-call trauma rota. Collaborate with the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for paediatric orthopaedic trauma as applicable. Qualifications Full GMC registration with a licence to practise (must be in place prior to starting). Experience as a senior orthopaedic trainee seeking further experience in orthopaedic trauma.
