Senior Surveyor/Team Lead

The opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Surveyor to join our high‑performing Auckland‑based Survey team, taking a lead role in the delivery of complex and high‑value survey projects. In this role, you’ll provide technical leadership and take ownership of project delivery—overseeing quality, programme, and commercial outcomes. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, guiding project teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients. The role also includes a people‑leadership component, supporting a team of approximately 5–7 surveyors, focusing on mentoring, coaching and helping others grow. Responsibilities Lead delivery of complex, high‑value survey projects, ensuring quality, schedule and commercial targets are met. Provide technical leadership across GNSS, robotic total stations, laser scanning and related reality capture technologies. Oversee project delivery, including programme planning, quality assurance and commercial management. Mentor, coach and develop a small team of surveyors (30% of the role). Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders on national and international projects in utilities, transport and local government. Qualifications Solid experience in the survey profession with strong technical foundation in GNSS, robotic total stations and laser scanning. Experience with 12d, Autodesk, UAV and broader reality‑capture technologies. Proactive, commercially minded professional who enjoys leading from the front and driving innovation.
