Technical Consultant - SRE - Entitlements at ASB Bank

About the role Join our Core Tribe as a Technical Consultant - SRE and help shape the Entitlements layer by building the Entitlements engine needed to migrate legacy functions and enable modernisation that powers ASB's digital experiences. As a Technical Consultant, you will act as both a hands‑on architect and a strategic leader, guiding teams, making key technical decisions, and helping define solutions that deliver real value for our customers. You will bring significant public‑cloud DevOps engineering, solution design experience, and solid IT infrastructure experience. What you’ll do Azure solution design and implementation. Automate and support infrastructure deployments in Azure and on‑prem with infrastructure‑as‑code solutions. Automate security remediation and detection processes; develop documentation such as SOP & knowledge base, dashboards, and reporting. Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available. Support activities associated with the migration and upgrade of the SaaS platform. Monitoring, alerting and reporting of environments. Design and implement cloud environments. Meet with internal stakeholders to discuss technical requirements for services and communicate these back to the team. Work collaboratively and comfortably take ownership of work/issues that deliver to user/business outcomes. About you You are a proactive problem‑solver with strong technical leadership and communication skills, confident in gathering requirements, designing pragmatic solutions, and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences. What you bring Experience in a NoSQL graph database (preferably Neo4j). Experience creating and maintaining GHES/Azure/Octopus CI/CD pipelines and Git/TFS source control. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, BICEP). Experience with CI/CD pipelines (especially Azure DevOps), version control systems (Git). Experience creating Kibana dashboards and alerts for exception and health monitoring. Experience with private cloud architecture, infrastructure, and management. Prior experience with automation process and orchestration tools; build, release and configuration management of all production systems. Experience working within Agile and DevOps frameworks; good understanding of cloud adoption framework. Enterprise networking and security knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑400, AZ‑500, and AZ‑700 preferred).
