About the Role We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our perioperative team on a part‑time basis. You will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality surgical care to our community, working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team across a range of specialties. As a Theatre Nurse, you will: Provide safe, evidence‑based nursing care in the operating theatre environment, including anaesthetic, scrub, and circulating roles. Support pre‑ and post‑operative care in collaboration with anaesthetists, surgeons, and allied health professionals. Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity setting while prioritising patient safety and comfort. Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and culturally safe care. About the Team/Service/Location Our Perioperative Services team is made up of skilled and passionate health professionals who deliver care across a broad range of elective and acute surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, gynaecology, urology, and more. About you You will be a Registered Nurse who: Holds current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Has recent experience in theatre nursing (scrub / scout and / or anaesthetic nursing preferred). Works well under pressure and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Is committed to ongoing professional development and high standards of clinical practice. Understands the importance of cultural safety and equitable care.
