Permanent, full-time role based in Auckland City Hospital Shift timings: 07:30-16:00, Monday to Friday. Provide clerical support to ward staff as well as patients, whānau and caregivers. About the Role We are looking for a ward clerk to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of our dedicated team in the dynamic and fast‑paced Ward Clerk position, serving as the primary point of contact and a vital support to the Ward leadership team. The successful candidate will act as the initial point of contact for Friends and Whānau visiting loved ones in hospital. This position is diverse and encompasses face‑to‑face customer service, coordinating and monitoring patient movements, supply management, and general clerical duties. It is a permanent full‑time position with 40 hours per week and based at Auckland City Hospital. About the Team / Service / Location Mana Awhi is a part of the Community and Long Term Conditions and Adult Medical Directorates which consists of four inpatient wards delivering high quality health care for older people and rehabilitation services for adults aged over 16 years. We provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation following stroke, amputation, other neurological and orthopaedic conditions, multiple trauma and for frail older people. About you As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes: Have at least 2 years of admin/reception experience (experience in the health sector is beneficial). A working knowledge of the MS applications and accurate data entry skills are also essential. Knowledge of medical terminology and/or hospital systems would be an advantage. Be adaptable and flexible, has a positive attitude, excellent communication and great attention to detail.
