Job Description
Role Overview As a Clinical Psychologist (iCAMHS, Mental Health) you will work with infants, children and adolescents up to age 18 years who have moderate to severe mental health needs. You will be based in the Nelson / Tasman region, working in the Nelson, Motueka and/or Golden Bay ICAMHS outpatient clinics. You will work closely with other psychologists and be part of a large multidisciplinary team. Your duties will include managing psychology referrals, providing psychological perspectives at multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings for routine and complex cases, and contributing to service development projects. You will also have opportunities to provide supervision to psychology colleagues and staff from other disciplines. The role is permanent, part‑time (64 hours per fortnight, 0.8 FTE), from Tuesday to Friday between 8:00AM and 4:30PM. Responsibilities Deliver assessment, diagnosis and psychological interventions to infants, children and adolescents. Attend MDT meetings and contribute evidence‑based psychological input for complex cases. Manage and triage psychology referrals and maintain comprehensive case records. Co‑design and implement service development projects and initiatives. Provide supervision and mentorship to junior psychology staff and inter‑disciplinary colleagues. Engage in continuing professional development and participate in relevant training programmes. Collaborate with community and specialist services to facilitate integrated care. Qualifications Post‑registration experience in a mental health setting. Up‑to‑date knowledge of psychological interventions for mental health issues. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Capacity to build trust, rapport and confidence with clients and their support networks. Passion for delivering psychological interventions to infants, children, adolescents and their families.
