Upholsterer Looking for a hands‑on role where your craftsmanship and attention to detail are valued? Tradestaff Hawke’s Bay is seeking an Upholsterer to join a busy manufacturing team in Hastings. This is a great opportunity for someone with upholstery experience, or a practical individual looking to further develop their skills in a production environment. You'll be involved in creating and restoring quality products while working alongside a team committed to high standards and quality workmanship. Location: Hastings, Hawke's Bay Start date: Immediate start Pay rate: $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience – paid weekly What you'll be doing Upholstering timber furniture frames using a range of tools and techniques Measuring, cutting and fitting fabric, foam and other materials Sewing and finishing upholstery to a high standard Removing and replacing existing upholstery and padding Carrying out repairs and preparing surfaces for re-upholstery Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met Following safe work practices and production procedures at all times Assisting in other production areas when required What we're looking for Some previous upholstery experience preferred, but not essential Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship Good time management and ability to work efficiently Reliable and committed to meeting production deadlines Health and safety focused approach to work Furniture Upholstery qualification desirable but not essential Positive attitude and willingness to learn What's in it for you?
