Job Description

Location Kapiti Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (KCAMHS), Kapiti Health Centre, Warrimoo Street, Paraparaumu. Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.8 FTE). About the Role In this dynamic role, you will provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and case management for children, adolescents and their families or caregivers. You will work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team, contributing your expertise to ensure holistic and culturally responsive care. Your role will also involve consultation and liaison with external services and agencies, helping to build strong, supportive networks around our young people. You will contribute to clinical and service development initiatives and provide guidance and support to external agencies, empowering tamariki, rangatahi and their whanau with the knowledge they need to navigate their mental health journey. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive assessment, treatment and case management for children, adolescents and families. Collaborate within a multi‑disciplinary team and partner with community services. Consult and liaise with external services and agencies. Contribute to clinical and service development initiatives. Provide guidance and support to external agencies and to tamariki, rangatahi and their whanau. Qualifications Relevant qualification in mental health, nursing, social work or occupational therapy with current professional registration in New Zealand. Experience working with children, adolescents and their whānau in a mental health setting. Strong assessment, risk management and therapeutic intervention skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team and alongside community partners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Cultural competency and commitment to partnerships with Māori and Pacific communities. Understanding and commitment to the CAPA model.
