This role provides an excellent foundation for further career progression in the medical field.Click [here] to view the full position description.**About the Team/Service** Whakatāne Hospital is a newly built facility with a dynamic team providing comprehensive paediatric services. The team includes four Consultant Paediatricians, a Medical Officer of Special Scale (MOSS), and a dedicated registrar. The department works closely with a wide range of services, including developmental and community paediatrics, and has strong links with tertiary services, MOE, CAFMHS, Oranga Tamariki, and the Children's Team. Many of our communities, particularly Māori, have high health needs, and our team is committed to making a positive impact.**About you**As a House Officer or Senior House Officer, you will have a medical degree (MBChB or equivalent) and strong clinical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team. You will be committed to providing compassionate patient care and demonstrate an awareness of Māori health issues and equity in healthcare.
