Engineering Design Consultants Ltd (EDC) is an established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy delivering innovative, reliable and practical solutions across New Zealand. We work closely with architects, developers, local authorities and private clients to bring projects from concept through to completion. We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer ready to step into a leadership role and take ownership of our Christchurch Structural team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise, people leadership and business development in a supportive and forward‑thinking environment. What you’ll be doing In this role, you will lead and contribute to a wide range of structural engineering projects while supporting the growth and success of the team. Key responsibilities include: Leading structural design and delivery on significant projects Managing project performance, financial outcomes and team outputs Providing technical oversight, peer review and quality assurance Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across the business Preparing design documentation, calculations, reports and consent documentation Undertaking site inspections, construction monitoring and investigations Supporting business development through client engagement and relationship building Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems, standards and processes About you We’re looking for a motivated and capable engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career.
