Ko te kaupapa | About the role We are looking for a motivated physiotherapist to join our dynamic and passionate physiotherapy team as a community physiotherapist. The current role involves working closely with our community teams (occupational therapists, allied health assistants, geriatricians and Community Assessment & Rehabilitation Team (CART)) to support patients and their whānau to rehabilitate in both at home and in interim care at residential facilities. Whanganui hospital's vision is “Thriving Communities” and we are looking to develop a more community focused physiotherapy service. Therefore, we are ideally looking for a forward-thinking physiotherapist with a passion for working the community using transdisciplinary practice in order to help fulfil this vision. The physiotherapist will require strong clinical skills and be able to build strong relationships with their clients and whānau, other medical professionals, and community networks. This role may also involve supervision of students, rotational physiotherapists and therapy assistants. Ideally you will hold the following attributes: Active Practicing Certificate with Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand Team player with good communication skills Have an understanding of other professional roles Physically fit and able to lift Motivated to maintain high level of knowledge and skill This position is ideal for any physiotherapists looking to support our community.
