As a Rehabilitation Physiotherapist, you will assess and deliver rehabilitation programmes for inpatient and outpatient clients across neurological, amputee, vestibular, orthopaedic, and general rehabilitation pathways while supporting the growth of rotational physiotherapists through mentoring and clinical guidance. About the Team/Service/Location The Rehabilitation Team is part of Te Koru Rehabilitation at Whakatāne Hospital, bringing together physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech‑language therapy, dietetics, podiatry, community therapy, pelvic health, hand therapy, and acute allied health services. The team is known for its collaborative culture, strong professional support, and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for patients and whānau. Located in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, Whakatāne offers an exceptional lifestyle with beaches, bush walks, rivers, and outdoor recreation all within minutes of the hospital. About You You are an experienced Physiotherapist who is passionate about rehabilitation and enjoys helping people maximise their independence and quality of life. You bring strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work confidently across a variety of rehabilitation settings. You are equally comfortable working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team and enjoy supporting the development of others through mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing. What you will bring Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate, or eligibility to obtain one by commencement Minimum five years post‑graduate physiotherapy experience Experience across a range of rehabilitation services including neurological, orthopaedic, vestibular, amputee, and general rehabilitation care Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and independently manage complex caseloads Experience providing mentorship and supervision to undergraduate students and early career physiotherapists Understanding of and commitment to implementing TeTiritioWaitangi in practice Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and leadership skills We welcome applications from our Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
