Job Description
Position Applied Technology Teacher – Engineering / Robotics (Grade 9‑12), Job ID 3406. Location: Hamilton East. Effective: 2026‑2027 School Year. Date Posted: 6/1/2026 • Closing Date: 07/05/2026. Responsibilities Teach the fundamentals of electronics, circuit design, DC motors, and robotics applications. Lead the Engineering pathway curriculum, focusing on the Engineering Design Process, structural engineering, and sustainable design. Instruct students in Biomimicry Design Thinking, using nature‑based solutions to modern environmental challenges. Prepare students for the workforce via portfolio development, resume writing, and mentoring through a year‑long independent innovation project. Qualifications Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Industrial Arts or Technology). Strong command of the Engineering Design Process, electronics theory, and programming. Experience with 3D computer modeling, digital prototyping, and lab safety procedures. Familiarity with NJ Student Learning Standards for Career & Technical Education. Preferred Qualifiers Experience with VEX Robotics. Familiarity with the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching. Salary & Benefits Base salary ranges from $67,968 to $99,181, based on experience and earned degree level.
