Job Description Te Haeata/The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced people leader and ITIL professional with a background in DevOps to join the Case Services team within Digital Office at the Ministry of Justice. The Case Services team delivers and supports the digital services that enable the effective operation of Courts, Tribunals and Judiciary. The Continuous Improvement Manager is a key leadership position within the Case Services team, responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across digital services. Responsibilities Line management for a team of approximately 10 people Leading the continuous improvement of development practices in the direction of continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps Supporting the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to best practice development and support frameworks Developing and implementing effective methods to improve application supportability and operations Overseeing service configuration, operational support and the implementation of ITIL processes across the Case Services portfolio Skills And Experience A collaborative and inclusive leadership style Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships Experience in managing a team involved in project delivery, operations support and incident management Experience in leading and delivering ongoing systems support post project implementation Strong people management capability, with a track record of building a high‑performing team Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and manage complex issues; ability to build and maintain a range of effective business relationships within an organisation and a wide network of professional relationships across the organisation About us At Te Tāhū o te Ture – the Ministry of Justice – we’re committed to strengthening people’s trust in the law of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Salary The appointing salary for this role will be between $128,427 and $176,789 based on skills and experience.
