Job Description
We're working with a nationally recognised organisation in the vocational education and training sector that is looking for an experienced electrical professional to join their team in a programme leadership capacity. This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines strong electrical industry knowledge with a passion for developing people, improving training outcomes, and shaping the future workforce. The role will play a key part in reviewing, developing, and enhancing apprenticeship and industry training programmes, ensuring they remain relevant, effective, and aligned with industry requirements. About the role Working closely with operational leaders, industry stakeholders, and programme development teams, you will: Support the ongoing improvement of electrical apprenticeship and training programmes Contribute to programme design, review, and development projects Engage with industry bodies, employers, and subject matter experts to ensure programmes remain fit for purpose Monitor programme effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders Assist with the development of learning resources, processes, and supporting documentation Help ensure programmes meet regulatory, compliance, and industry standards About you To be successful, you'll bring: A recognised qualification within an electrical discipline Experience working within vocational education, apprenticeship training, or workforce development Strong understanding of the electrical industry and current industry requirements Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills The ability to manage projects, influence outcomes, and work collaboratively across multiple teams A practical, solutions‑focused approach and a genuine passion for developing future talent What's on offer Permanent position with a nationally significant organisation Flexible location options across New Zealand Opportunity to influence the future of electrical training and apprenticeship delivery Supportive and collaborative team environment Additional employee benefits including insurance and superannuation contributions If you're looking to step into a role where you can combine your electrical expertise with programme development and industry engagement, we'd love to hear from you.
