Nurse Patient Finder – University of Auckland Full‑time on‑site position offering opportunities for career growth. Job Description Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences seeks a Registered Nurse to support Year 3 medical students during the Clinical Methods Course. The role is based at Waitakere and North Shore campuses and involves identifying and consenting suitable inpatients for bedside teaching with Clinical Methods Tutors and students. Responsibilities Liaise with ward staff to identify suitable inpatient volunteers. Approach and assess patients for willingness and clinical appropriateness to participate. Obtain and document verbal consent in patient notes. When appropriate, examine patients to confirm relevant clinical signs. Prepare and share a patient list (including reserves) with Clinical Methods Tutors by 12:30pm each teaching day. Ensure patients understand participation is voluntary and may not be selected. Act with cultural sensitivity and prioritize patient wellbeing. Employment Details Part‑time (11.25h per week), fixed‑term (8weeks). Salary range: $73,400–$90,700 pro‑rated based on skills and experience. Qualifications NewZealand Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate. Minimum two years’ nursing experience. Valid CPR and/or Advanced Life Support certification. Cultural competence and respectful, inclusive approach. Strong organisational and communication skills.
