Loss Prevention Officer (Security) – The Warehouse, Hawera Full‑time Contract type: Permanent The Warehouse Group looks after some of Aotearoa's most famous and beloved retail brands, including The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery and Noel Leeming. Key purpose of the role Prevent theft and ensure the safety of staff and customers through vigilant monitoring and proactive engagement. Hours of work Tuesday 1:30‑8:00 pm Thursday to Saturday 8:00‑4:30 am We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers. Key Responsibilities Monitor security cameras. Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor. Interact with customers and address their concerns. Upload incidents onto our crime‑reporting platform. Check expiry dates throughout the grocery department. Perform any other duties requested of you. Experience & Skills Experience in a customer‑facing role, such as retail or hospitality, is beneficial but not required. Previous security experience is a requirement. A good understanding of computer systems, data entry, and communication skills is essential. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods and be willing to learn. Experience in conflict resolution and de‑escalation, as well as the ability to remain calm under pressure, would be advantageous. Benefits Team Card – access to discounts across our brands.
