This role sits within the AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) and exists to accelerate the adoption and delivery of AI across PwC New Zealand. The AI CoE partners with business leaders and industry teams to identify and deliver practical AI solutions, including building and deploying AI agents that automate business processes and enhance client delivery. Through a player‑coach mindset, the team also drives AI capability uplift across the firm by enabling knowledge sharing, supporting adoption, and embedding AI into the way our people work across Advisory, Tax, Legal, and Assurance. Day‑to‑day responsibilities Partner with teams across the firm to identify opportunities where AI can solve real business challenges. Design, build, and deploy AI agents and low‑code solutions from concept through to production. Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and business teams to deliver practical, scalable and responsible AI solutions. Drive AI adoption through demos, user support, coaching, and knowledge sharing. Continuously improve solutions by troubleshooting issues, incorporating feedback, and developing reusable assets. Skills you will bring or develop in this role A qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A strong interest in AI, automation, low‑code development, and emerging technologies, demonstrated through study, projects, internships, or work experience. The ability to solve business problems by translating ideas into practical technical solutions, with strong analytical skills and a curious, growth‑oriented mindset. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical teams. Experience with AI tools, low‑code platforms, automation, or prototyping technologies (incl. M365, Copilot Studio, Claude Code, ChatGPT/Codex, APIs, or workflow automation tools) and an understanding of responsible AI principles. Experience in professional services, client‑facing work, or technology‑enabled business transformation.
