Job Description
As a ConditionAssessor, you'll carry out detailed inspections of transmission structures, conductors and access routes across the network. Your work will directlysupport asset management decisions by identifying, recording and prioritisingdefects while ensuring all inspections meet industry and client standards. You'll alsowork closely with internal teams, landowners and stakeholders to ensureaccurate information is captured and reported, helping deliver safe andefficient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Conductdetailed condition assessments of transmission structures, conductors andaccess assets. Identify,assess and record defects, ensuring they are accurately prioritised and raisedfor action. Complete assetcondition ratings in accordance with relevant transmission standards andspecifications. Capture andmanage inspection data using Matai and other digital asset management systems. Updatelandowner information and report any third-party activities that may impactnetwork assets. Complete allinspection records, hazard identification, incident reports and documentationaccurately and on time. Maintain astrong focus on safety, environmental compliance and quality across all workactivities. Contribute tocontinuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improveprocesses, safety and efficiency. Participate ininternal audits and maintain high standards of compliance. Ensure companyequipment, vehicles and PPE are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition. About You You'll bepractical, self-motivated and enjoy working in a dynamic field environment. Youhave a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills and understand theimportance of maintaining accurate asset information. Experience RelevantTransmission qualifications and industry certifications. Experienceworking within transmission environments (experience on Transpower assets ishighly regarded). A full, cleanNew Zealand Driver Licence. A strongcommitment to health, safety and environmental best practice. The ability towork independently while contributing to a high-performing team. Good computerskills and confidence using digital systems. Droneinspection experience is advantageous, but training will be provided for theright person.
