Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role The Government Finance Profession team within the Government Finance Division has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Systems Accountant to join a dynamic and highly skilled team. In this role, you will play an important role, including a helpdesk by responding to queries, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to ongoing system improvements for two key Treasury systems - CFISnet (the Crown's Financial and Information System) and TADAA (Treasury Data and Analytics). To succeed in this role, you will bring A relevant qualification in information technology, or demonstrated experience supporting software, hardware, or network issues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and work through practical solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong customer service focus. A positive, reliable, and team-oriented approach, with a willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment. Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay calm and effective when working under pressure. A genuine interest in helping others and working across both finance and IT contexts. An understanding of basic SQL and public sector experience would be advantageous, but are not essential.
