Holiday Volunteer: Lead Kids Activities + Free Gym

The Kind Foundation (previously YMCA) is seeking students interested in volunteering during the upcoming school holidays. Our Holiday Programmes cater to children aged 5-11 years old in three different locations: Papa Hou in the City, Bishopdale Rec Centre, and Te Kāpehu Riccarton Primary. The programmes offer a variety of fun activities such as Ninja Valley, Science Day, and Clip & Climb. Volunteers gain work experience, apply leadership skills, meet other young people and have fun. We have supervisors on-site at all times to support the volunteers and children with any concerns. The role of a volunteer is to interact with the children, build relationships, engage in activities, and support the overseeing of the group. Off‑site activities are on us; volunteers don’t need to pay for any activities or transport during the day. Please note: students must be 15+ years old to volunteer with us. Volunteers will receive a free gym membership which can be used at Elevate City and Bishopdale, as a thank you. Interviews for the programme start in 2 weeks on Tuesday 19th May and Thursday 21st May. Please inform students they must be prompt in submitting the application form if they wish to have a volunteering opportunity over the school holidays.
