This is a key People & Culture leadership role that combines strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery. As People and Performance Manager, you’ll lead work across performance, capability, workforce planning and employment relations, helping translate strategy into practical, meaningful action. In this role, you will help shape how we strengthen leadership, performance and capability across the organisation. You’ll partner with leaders to build strong teams, lift capability, and drive continuous improvement—ensuring our people systems and practices work together to deliver high‑quality, inclusive and sustainable outcomes for the people we support. You’ll also use people data and insights to inform decision‑making, build trusted relationships across the organisation, and guide complex people matters with sound judgement—supporting a culture of inclusion, wellbeing and service excellence. Job Description You’re an experienced People & Culture professional who brings both strategic insight and practical delivery. You’re confident working at a senior level, with strong knowledge of New Zealand employment law and proven experience leading complex employment relations matters. You have a track record in performance management, leadership coaching, capability development and workforce planning, and you’re comfortable using people data and systems to guide decisions and drive improvement. Just as importantly, you bring a grounded, relational style. You build trust quickly, communicate with clarity, and work collaboratively across a diverse organisation. You’re known for your sound judgement, coaching approach, and ability to bring consistency, accountability and confidence to people practices. You’ll also hold a relevant tertiary qualification in HR, organisational development, business or a related field.
