Overview We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department at Mersey Community Hospital and the Northwest Regional Hospital. Responsibilities Have postgraduate qualification in Emergency Nursing and Emergency nursing experience with skills in triage and resuscitation. Provide advice, care, and support to patients within your area of expertise. Show initiative, being adaptable and able to respond and adjust easily to change. Essential Criteria & Experience Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. Minimum 2 years experience as an RN in an Emergency Department. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced setting. Competent in resuscitation roles inclusive of airway, procedures and scribe. Completed ETEK and triage competent. Postgraduate degree in emergency nursing or critical care (desired). Salary and Work Hours Multiple positions available at both Mersey Community Hospital and Northwest Regional Hospital. Permanent full‑time and part‑time shift‑worker positions are fully rotational, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Salary: 80,524 to 109,175 per annum (pro rata). Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to the Grade 4 salary range 102,439 to 109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% based on qualification type. Salary Packaging: Access to a range of benefits including living expenses up to 9,010 plus 2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year plus other benefits if eligible.
