Volunteering Opportunity - July School Holidays

Overview The Kind Foundation (previously YMCA) is seeking students interested in volunteering during the upcoming school holidays. Locations and Activities Our Holiday Programmes cater to children aged 5‑11 years old in three different locations: Papa Hou in the City, Bishopdale Rec Centre, and Te Kāpehu Riccarton Primary. The programmes offer a variety of fun activities such as Ninja Valley, Science Day, and Clip & Climb. Responsibilities The role of a volunteer is to interact with the children, build relationships, engage in activities, and support the overseeing of the group. Volunteers will be supervised on-site at all times to support the volunteers and children with any concerns. Requirements Students must be 15 years old or older to volunteer. Benefits Volunteers will receive a free gym membership usable at Elevate City and Bishopdale. Offsite activities are covered by the Foundation; volunteers do not need to pay for activities or transportation during the day. Note Interviews for the programme start in 2 weeks, on Tuesday 19th May and Thursday 21st May.
