INTRO Do you love building relationships, meeting people, and talking travel? Our client is seeking a motivated and personable individual to help grow their corporate travel business Do you have a background in travel, tourism, hospitality, aviation, or client-facing sales Ideal opportunity for a natural networker who thrives on meeting new people, enjoys working autonomously, and wants to represent a respected global travel business Part time or fulltime hours ie 30-40 hours The company Proudly operating as an entrepreneurial New Zealand business, they are also backed by a global travel management network, providing clients with international reach, sophisticated reporting tools, duty-of-care solutions, and access to worldwide travel expertise Clients include law firms, engineering companies, shipping and marine/yachting operators, sporting organisations, and other businesses whose employees travel regularly for work (not government or large corporates) Overview Reporting directly to senior management, you'll focus on developing new corporate travel partnerships and building a strong pipeline of future business opportunities. You'll be supported by an experienced Account Manager while enjoying the autonomy to manage your own business development activity. Key tasks Follow up referrals, existing prospect lists, and dormant opportunities Identify and develop new corporate travel opportunities Build relationships with CEOs, Executive Assistants, HR leaders, Procurement Managers, and other decision-makers Attend networking events, business functions, and industry gatherings Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospective clients Work closely with the Account Manager to ensure smooth client transitions Contribute as part of the wider team if any travel disruptions/client emergencies Maintain a strong pipeline of future opportunities and partnerships You With a passion for the Travel sector, you may have always wanted to work in Business Development or you may already have some sales experience, but your professional and more corporate manner, ability to build relationships and create opportunities is most important. You may be developing your career OR wanting a work life balance OR had a great career but no longer seeking to ‘climb the ladder’ but looking for stable interesting employment 4 or 5 days a week. You could come from: Corporate or leisure travel Aviation or airline backgrounds Hospitality or tourism Marine or yachting industries Client-facing service industries Business development or account management roles We're looking for someone who: Is confident engaging with senior business leaders and high net worth individuals Has excellent communication and networking skills Presents professionally and builds credibility quickly Is resilient and comfortable with prospecting and business development Has a genuine interest in travel and people Is self-motivated, coachable, and adaptable Holds a full New Zealand driver's licence and has reliable transport Is very familiar with Auckland and the local business community Has unrestricted New Zealand working rights (no Visa applicants) Offer Base salary of $75,000–$90,000 depending on experience OTE bonus opportunity of up to $25,000 in your first year Mileage reimbursement ($1.20/km) Use of office vehicle typical, ie from city fringe office (not a WFH role) Free parking Job stability Potential domestic and international travel opportunities to meet colleagues etc Exposure to global travel industry partners and colleagues A supportive, collaborative team culture Hours are flexible ie 40 hours or for a 4-day work week and school-hour arrangements for the right candidate International career opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
