Engaging Priority Families Navigator (Tupuranga Ake) Turuki Health Care is a kaupapa Māori organisation delivering integrated health, wellbeing and social services across the Taamaki Makaurau region. We provide quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare and support to whānau. Opportunities Our Tupuranga Ake team is looking for a whānau‑focused individual to join us in Maangere Central. You will support parents and guardians with tamariki aged between 3 and 5 years old to access early childhood education (ECE) options that best suit their whānau. Working hours are 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities You will work with whānau to identify barriers around ECE and create a support plan. Your role will include coordinating koohanga/kindergarten visits, creating learning packs for tamariki, holding play and sensory workshops, and networking with service providers across South Auckland. Qualifications Prior experience working with tamariki or a passion for helping others as a maamaa. Experience in community or social services supporting Māori and Pasifika whānau. Strong computer skills for data entry and researching ECE options. Effective time‑management skills. NZ full driver’s licence. Knowledge of Te Reo Māori or another language is advantageous.
