Overview Ashburton – Ashburton Health Campus. Fixed term until 29/04/2027. This role enables you to contribute to the community in a meaningful way by helping maintain our facilities, providing a suitable environment for our tūroro (patients) and whānau (families). You will be part of a small fast‑paced team that plays an essential part in maintaining Ashburton Hospital Facilities, delivering exceptional cleaning services 365 days a year across both day and night shifts. Starting rate $28.63 per hour, based on the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreement. Responsibilities Completing all cleaning tasks to a high standard Ensuring daily schedules and task lists are completed within the set time frame Working alongside other cleaners to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner Matching service requirements to the clinical needs Maintaining equipment and operating it according to specifications Utilising the correct chemicals and dilutions Working Hours and Shift Pattern Fixed term for 1 year: 22 hours one week and 27.5 hours the next week with time and a half on weekends and double time on stat days. Thursday 7 – 2pm Friday 7 – 1pm Saturday 7 – 1pm (every alternate Saturday) Sunday 7 – 12pm Monday 7 – 12pm About You We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible candidate who can bring their passion for cleaning to the Ashburton facility. This role suits someone who wants to help make the hospital a hygienic and safe space for our patients and whanau. There may also be opportunities to pick up extra hours. Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.
