Systems Engineer

Based in their central Tauranga offices, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team supporting a diverse business client base. You’ll provide systems design, deployment, maintenance, and technical support across IT and phone services with an exceptional level of customer service and professionalism. Your daily work will focus on… Delivering high-quality technical support across cloud, servers, networks, security, and end-user systems Providing Level 1 and 2 (sometimes L3) support, both remotely and on-site Installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining client environments (including backups, patching, AV) Managing Microsoft 365, cloud services, and infrastructure support Assessing client needs and recommending practical solutions Preparing and following up on quotes and proposals Prioritising work to meet SLAs and client expectations Keeping accurate records in CRM and maintaining clear client documentation Communicating proactively with clients and internal team on progress and risks Contributing to solution design, continuous improvement, and best practice Spotting opportunities to add value and grow client relationships Experience and skills required… 3+ years’ IT experience across support and implementation Level 5+ IT qualification or equivalent experience Strong Windows environment skills (Server + advanced Desktop OS) Active Directory & Group Policy capability Proven ability to deliver implementations and resolve complex issues Networking experience a bonus Able to translate client needs into practical solutions Other strengths needed in this role: Strong communication and client service focus Self-driven, organised, high attention to detail and a best-practice mindset This is a privately owned NZ business, looking after its employees and offering attractive base pay plus a realistic bonus system.
