Machine Operator

Waters & Farr is looking for experienced Extrusion Line Operators to join our extrusion team in Rangiora. You'll be responsible for the operation, optimisation, training and maintenance of our extrusion assets — including Krauss Maffei and similar extruders — playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly, safely and to the highest quality standard. What You'll Be Doing Operating and monitoring continuous extrusion processes, following and improving established methods and procedures Leading start-up and set-up for new products and trials Carrying out quality checks and inspections, and taking action where needed Completing daily production reports, pre-start checks and QC paperwork accurately and on time Driving efficiency, reducing downtime, and helping the team hit production and schedule goals Cross-training across other machines and plant areas Capturing and sharing optimal machine settings with the wider team Supporting a safe, clean work environment and contributing to health & safety improvements Mentoring and training new starters alongside the Process and Manufacturing Managers What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years' extrusion experience in a manufacturing environment A process-driven mindset with strong attention to detail Ability to work unsupervised, follow systems, and troubleshoot to root cause Familiarity with computer control systems in extrusion processes A team player who communicates well and shares knowledge openly Results-focused, reliable, and accountable for outcomes A genuine commitment to health and safety If you're a hands-on, safety-conscious extrusion professional who takes pride in quality and wants to grow with a company that values its people, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
