Registrar/ Specialty Doctor- Acute / Emergency Psychiatry - Invercargill

Head Medical is recruiting Psychiatry Doctors with Acute or Emergency Psychiatry experience to join a well‑established and supportive Mental Health service in Invercargill, New Zealand. We are particularly interested in candidates at Registrar or equivalent Senior Doctor (SAS) level, seeking a varied acute caseload within a service that offers strong clinical support alongside an excellent lifestyle. You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering urgent and acute mental health assessment and intervention services across the Southland region, within a service committed to high‑quality, patient‑centred care. This is a dynamic and rewarding post offering broad clinical exposure, including: Acute psychiatric assessments Crisis intervention and risk management Emergency mental health presentations Liaison with inpatient and community services Multidisciplinary treatment planning Participation in regional mental health service delivery You will work alongside experienced Consultant Psychiatrists, Mental Health Nurses, and Allied Health professionals in a highly collegial environment where support and collaboration are prioritised.
