We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and highly effective educator to lead our health and physical education learning area. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative leader who can inspire excellence in teaching and learning, champion student wellbeing, and foster a culture of participation, achievement, and belonging. The successful applicant will: Be a registered teacher with demonstrated classroom effectiveness. Have proven leadership capability or the potential to lead and develop others. Lead curriculum development and assessment practices within health and physical education. Promote culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices. Build positive relationships with students, whānau, staff, and the wider community. Support the school's vision for equitable and excellent outcomes for all learners. Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities. We are looking for a leader who: Has a strong understanding of The New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA. Is committed to continuous improvement and professional growth. Values collaboration, innovation, and student‑centred learning. Demonstrates a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally sustaining practices. This permanent position carries 3 Management Units and 1 Middle Management Allowance. The position commences at the beginning of Term 3, 2026, or by negotiation.
