# Registered Nurse - Surgical Ward at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern, Southland## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**Registered Nurse – Surgical Ward*** **Southland Hospital, Permanent part time 0.8 FTE*** **Salary Band – $81,683 - $106,739 p.a. pro-rata*** **Competitive salary + paid overtime + Carpark**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.**About the Role**Our Surgical Ward at Southland Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with a “can do”, positive attitude to join their multi-disciplinary team on a permanent basis. Our team is focused on patient centred care, so your kind nature and ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations will ensure your ability to slot into our work family. The work on this ward is varied and interesting and you will have many opportunities to develop professionally. Capability development is a high priority for us – there is ample opportunity for professional development. We believe that our dedicated and passionate staff are a significant driving force behind the achievement of these standards, and we need more like-minded people to help us continue providing for our community.**About you**To be a successful applicant you will preferably have current surgical nursing experience, be able to demonstrate resilience, will not mind putting in some hard work and be open and willing to up-skill as required. you will have strong written and verbal communication skills with a friendly demeanour and someone who values patient centred care.
