Apprentice Carpenters Wanted! Our employer partner – one of Waikato’s leading construction companies - is on the lookout for Carpentry Apprentices to join their highly successful team. If you have been thinking about a building career, and you are a reliable and committed hard worker, then look no further! You: Have always dreamed of being a builder (or do you think carpentry is the career for you!) Know which way to hold a hammer (preferred!) Are not afraid to work on a shovel (essential) Could still be at school with NCEA Level 1, you may have a pre‑trade from polytech or you could be older and seeking a career change… Most importantly, you are dependable, self‑disciplined, friendly and positive. You love seeing tasks through to completion and you are not afraid of physical labour. You are a quick learner, you always turn up to work on time and you are a cooperative member of any team. You will also be prepared to do the bookwork required to complete your apprenticeship (support is available, so don’t worry too much if bookwork is not your thing!). About the role: This is an earn‑while‑you‑learn opportunity which will see you become a fully qualified carpenter. If you have the right stuff, when qualified and more experienced you will become a sought‑after member of New Zealand’s booming Construction Sector. First, you will learn and practice essential carpentry skills on the job (you will be working on some high‑profile, landmark construction projects – exciting!).
