CareVets Wainuiomata is looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a 10-month maternity cover contract . About the Role As a Veterinary Nurse at CareVets Wainuiomata, you will play a key role in supporting our veterinary team and delivering high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include: Providing high-quality nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and wellbeing Assisting veterinarians with consultations, diagnostics, and surgery Monitoring anaesthesia and patient recovery Performing laboratory tasks including sample collection and in-house testing Preparing and maintaining surgical and treatment areas Communicating with clients and providing education and support Maintaining accurate patient records and clinic protocols This is a full-time, fixed-term role (10 months) with a roster that includes 1 in 3 Saturdays . About You You will bring: A veterinary qualification registrable in New Zealand Minimum 3 years’ experience in a companion animal clinic Strong clinical nursing skills, including anaesthesia and patient care Excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly mannerA collaborative mindset and commitment to high standards of care Dedication to ongoing professional development What’s on Offer?
