Job Description

Overview Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders. This rare opportunity to join New Zealand's largest malignant haematology and stem cell transplant service offers a chance to shape the future of care in the region. Responsibilities Apply expertise in clinical haematology with a focus on transplant and cellular therapy. Provide secondary haematology care for central Auckland and tertiary care for the greater region. Treat acute leukaemia, high‑grade lymphoma and perform both autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants. Collaborate with the thrombosis unit, bleeding disorder programme and integrated laboratory support. Contribute to research, teaching and quality improvement projects within the service. Qualifications Hold (or be eligible for) vocational and/or locum tenens registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Experience in plasma cell disorders, leukaemia and stem cell transplantation highly regarded; interest in other subspecialties welcomed. Benefits Visa support and relocation assistance.
