About the Role We are actively seeking Qualified Anaesthetic Technicians and RNAA's to complement our team at the Christchurch Health Campus. The role offers permanent full‑time, part‑time, and casual opportunities across multiple sites including Christchurch Campus Public, Women’s, Waipapa, and Burwood Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for: Providing professional, technical, and clinical assistance to Anaesthetists Ensuring safe administration of anaesthesia to patients Anticipating problems and delivering exceptional patient care Co‑ordinating documentation to support effective care delivery Mentoring Anaesthetic Technician students, RNAA's, and junior team members About You Recognised qualification within NewZealand or an international equivalent Registration with the Medical Sciences Council, the NewZealand Nursing Organisation with the RNAA scope of practice, or eligibility to obtain such registration Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations Motivation to embrace challenges and adapt to change Competency with teao Māori, tikanga, and tereo (or a commitment to developing those competencies) A sense of humour and self‑awareness Benefits Reimbursement of registration with MSCNZ and APC fees Access to professional development opportunities, including accredited training programs such as the perioperative practice degree and the RNAA training programme Work‑life balance supported by a vibrant city environment with ample outdoor and cultural amenities EEO Statement We welcome applications from all members of our diverse Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities.
