Aluminium Fabricators

We are looking for a dedicated fabricator to create aluminium windows and doors in the Taranaki region. Our client is an established New Zealand business specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of aluminium windows and doors. They work with builders, developers and architects to deliver high‑quality joinery solutions from product design through to installation. They are looking for experienced aluminium fabricators to join their team in Hawera. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with minimal supervision and is confident working in a busy manufacturing environment. This role is based in Hawera, Taranaki, with occasional travel as required. The position is Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work. Standard hours are generally between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm, with minimum guaranteed hours. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret drawings and specifications to plan job requirements. Cut, punch, mill, assemble and glaze aluminium products. Operate fabrication machinery, including saws and CNC machining centres. Use hand tools, grinders and other workshop equipment safely. Complete job sheets, time records, packing slips, filing and data entry. Clean finished units after assembly and prepare them for delivery. Assist with loading, unloading, picking, packing, sorting and dispatch. Check completed products to ensure quality standards are met. Support warranty checks, maintenance, cleaning and general repairs as required. Follow all workplace health and safety procedures. What We Are Looking For At least 3 years of aluminium fabrication, manufacturing or related trade experience. Ability to read technical drawings and follow specifications. Experience using fabrication machinery and workshop tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physically fit and able to perform manual work, including repetitive lifting. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communication, listening and problem‑solving skills. Strong time management and a positive team attitude. Class 1 driver licence or overseas equivalent preferred. Willing and able to complete trade testing and pre‑employment checks.
