Maintenance Technician Are you a hands‑on Maintenance Technician who enjoys fault‑finding, troubleshooting, and keeping critical equipment running at peak performance? We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a well‑established organisation operating automated processing equipment in a fast‑paced environment. About the Role As part of the Engineering Services team, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing automated machinery to ensure operational reliability and minimise downtime. Key responsibilities include: Preventative and reactive maintenance Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults Troubleshooting automated equipment Supporting continuous improvement initiatives Managing spare parts and maintenance records Working collaboratively with operational teams to maximise equipment performance Hours The position operates on a 4‑week rotating roster, including a mix of: Morning shifts Evening shifts One weekend day Participation in an on‑call roster About You Experience with automated equipment, production lines, conveyors, or industrial maintenance systems will be highly regarded. You’ll ideally bring: A mechanical or electrical trade qualification, or equivalent industry experience EST or EWRB registration/licensing (strongly preferred) 5+ years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, production, automation, or high‑speed processing operations Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems Experience working with live operational machinery and automated equipment Good computer literacy, including exposure to programming, automation, instrumentation, or maintenance management systems Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and reliability‑centred maintenance principles Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenanceA collaborative, team‑focused attitude with a strong commitment to safety This role would suit a technician who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, takes pride in keeping equipment running efficiently, and thrives on solving technical challenges.
