About the Role We are seeking Registered Midwives to join our Rangiora Maternity team based at Rangiora Health Hub. There is a permanent part‑time position (flexible from 0.4FTE to 0.6FTE) and a casual position available. As a Registered Midwife you will work as an autonomous practitioner providing compassionate, high‑quality maternity care to women and their whānau throughout their inpatient journey. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and wider health services to develop and deliver individualised care plans that support positive outcomes for both mother and baby. Responsibilities Provide clinical care across primary, secondary and tertiary maternity settings. Contribute to a supportive team environment. Play a key role in delivering safe, culturally responsive and evidence‑based care. Follow up appointments for local women after they have seen the obstetric team and require ongoing observation. About the Service Rangiora Maternity is located in a rural setting 20‑30 minutes from central Christchurch. The 10‑bed Primary Maternity Unit provides birth and postnatal care and also hosts an outreach obstetrics and gynaecology clinic to serve women in North Canterbury. The unit is part of the Rangiora Health Hub, which offers a range of public health services. Qualifications & Skills Registered with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand with a current APC. Strong commitment to the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding. Good communication skills and the ability to make informed decisions focused on quality maternity care. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals. Adaptability, flexibility and solution‑focused approach.
